Law Enforcement Series

Before there was light-kicking "tactical" buckshot, the U.S. Armed Services established Mil-Spec 3443E, a brutal and unforgiving torture test
with 3,000 rounds of full power 12 gauge buckshot. Only one pump action shotgun was heavy duty enough to pass. Mossberg.

Now, twenty years later, the state-of-the-art Mossberg® 590A1™ reigns as king of heavy-duty police/military slide action shotguns. Engineered to
the exacting standards of the National Institute of Justice, this smooth-handling yet ruggedly reliable service weapon offers such important subtleties of
design as its ergonomic, ambidextrous top-tang safety and "swab straight though" magazine tube.

Undercover operatives and others may choose the pistol grip (cruiser) version for maximum compactness and concealability, or opt for a synthetic Speed
Feed® stock for quick reloading in critical situations. Patrol cars and vehicles crowded with electronic equipment and MDT's are the ideal setting for the
quickly deployable "compact" model with its fast-handling 14" barrel and optimally controllable conventional stock.

A 590A1™ BANTAM™ is also available for female officers, or small stature individuals, featuring a shortened 13" length-of-pull, and reduced
overall weight for superior handling characteristics. Standard models are chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells and are offered in 6 or 9-shot capacities.

590DA™
"Double Action" Style Pump
An Unparalleled Patrol Shotgun

20" modified choke barrel and 9-shot capacity shown

Mossberg has established yet another industry milestone with the introduction of the 590DA "Double Action" 12 gauge
pump shotgun. The new 590DA fires with a long deliberate stroke of the trigger for each shot.

This new, innovative design also provides a faster, easier transition from service sidearm to shotgun, as it requires no substantial change to the widely
accepted "DAO" safety and firing procedures of today's most advanced service pistols and revolvers.

Like our other 590® shotguns, this new model retains all of the proven Mossberg features long popular with law enforcement and military professionals
around the world. Features such as: dual action bars, corrosion resistant parkerized finish, straight-through magazine tube cleaning, ambidextrous tang safety.
The 590DA™ includes heavy walled barrels, aluminum trigger housings, aluminum safety buttons, and the additional choice of a 14" barrel length (class 3
regulations apply).

The 590DA was designed to to meet or exceed stringent government Mil-Spec and NIJ requirements.

Mariner® Shotguns:
provide Corrosion-resistant Marinecote™
Finish for All-Weather, Year-Round Protection

shown with 18 1/2" cylinder bore barrel

The Mariner®, with Mossberg's exclusive Marinecote™ finish , is ideal for hostile weather environments, coastal environments, boat patrol, etc.
The Mariner is the ideal choice when a vehicular-mounted shotgun is subjected to all-season climates, which can induce condensation on weapons.
Rigorous testing proves the Marinecote resists corrosion better than stainless steel. This finish is harder than ordinary gunmetal and provides the added
bonus of greater resistance to wear and distinctly smoother action.
